On 25th September 2016 Fiona ran half of the 100 km from Luta Ba Futuru in Same to Dili the capital of Timor-Leste. This trip takes 5 or 6 hours in a car on a good day.
Fiona was running to raise money but also to highlight just how difficult is is to get around Timor-Leste due to the roads, the terrain and the remoteness of the rural areas where 70% of the population live.
She hopes to show just how difficult delivering services is in this environment and how crucial safe reliable, safe transport is for the people who work there delivering the community development and health care vital for these people’s lives.
